Bever-leigh Banfield
Actress, voice artist, author, director, producer, and award-winning journalist Bever-leigh Banfield is an accomplished storyteller on television, in movies, onstage, and on the page. With an M.F.A. from Yale University and a B.A. from Stanford, she has performed in scores of productions from sitcoms to Shakespeare, and is perhaps best known for her TV roles as author Alex Haley’s grandmother, Cynthia, in Roots: The Next Generations and T.C., the plumber’s helper, on Good Times.
Her voice-overs are enjoyed in numerous films, TV and radio commercials, cartoons, animated movies, planetarium star shows and the audiobook narration of her inspirational non-fiction book You Can Change the World: Be a Change Wizard and Get It Like You Like It.
Across every medium, Bever-leigh strives to entertain and enlighten, infusing her work with a belief in the limitless power of love, creativity, imagination, intention, and self-transformation.
From the coastal escape of Martha's Vineyard: A Summer You Can Keep, the uplifting affirmations of Marvelous Mindful Mandalas, and the restorative of Relaxing Retreat, to the uplifting principles of You Can Change the World: Be a Change Wizard and Get It Like You Like It and the indomitable heroines of Twelve Stories High, each project invites you to experience a different aspect of growth, creativity, strength, and well-being.
When she isn’t creating books, music, videos, or new worlds to explore, Bever-leigh is painting, designing, photographing, sewing, gardening, and developing future projects to share, including her upcoming KidzKan World for children, and beyond.
